An Ordinance for the further relief of Inskeepers.
1. The object of this Ordinance is te give te innkeepers a right of
sale, under certain conditions, of goods which have under commen
law become the subject of their right of lion. In the main the pre-
visions of this Ordinance are taken from these of 41 & 42 Viet. C.
38. § 1. but they also introduce a right of immediate sale in the
case of perishable articles.
2. Section 1 of the Ordinance is formal.
Section 2 defines the terms "Inn" and "Innkeeper".
Section 3 is the substantive clause previding that an innkeeper
skall have the right to sell, by auction property left with him by a
ery person whe is indebted to him for hetel or living charges; this
